Hadith 1162
It is narrated from Abu Hazim that he heard from Sahl bin Sa’d Sa’idi (may Allah be pleased with him), when he was asked about the wounding of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of Uhud, he said that the blessed face of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was wounded, his tooth was broken, and his helmet was broken on his head (so imagine how much pain his head must have suffered). Then the Prophet’s daughter, Fatimah al-Zahra (may Allah be pleased with her), was washing the blood, and Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was pouring water over it. When Fatimah al-Zahra (may Allah be pleased with her) saw that the blood was flowing even more with water, she burned a piece of mat and filled the wound with its ashes, then the blood stopped.

Hadith 1163
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had his tooth broken and was wounded on his head on the day of Uhud. The Prophet (peace be upon him) kept wiping away the blood and was saying, "How can a people prosper who have wounded their Prophet and broken his tooth, while he was calling them towards Allah, the Exalted?" At that time, this verse was revealed: "You have no authority in the matter; whether He turns to them in mercy or punishes them; for they are indeed wrongdoers." (Aal-e-Imran: 128).
