Hadith 1140
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sometimes gave some military detachments more than the rest of the armies, and khums (one-fifth) was obligatory in all those spoils.
