Hadith 1130
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that (his mother) Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) took a dagger on the day of Hunayn. She had it with her when Sayyiduna Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) saw it, so he mentioned it to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), saying: "This is Umm Sulaym, and she has a dagger with her." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked (Umm Sulaym), "What is this dagger for?" Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) said, "O Messenger of Allah! If any polytheist comes near me, I will rip open his belly with this dagger." Upon hearing this, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) laughed. Then Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) said, "O Messenger of Allah! Kill the Tulaqa (i.e., the people of Makkah) except for us, for they only became Muslim after being defeated by you (and did not accept Islam from their hearts)." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "O Umm Sulaym! Allah has sufficed (protected) us from the evil of the disbelievers in the best manner (so there is no need for you to carry a dagger now)."

Hadith 1131
´Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) says that´ on the day of Uhud, people, having been defeated, fled and left the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). And Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) stood as a shield in front of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) was a very skilled archer; two or three of his bows broke that day. Whenever someone came out with a quiver of arrows, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would say to him, "Keep these arrows for Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him)." When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would raise his head to look at the disbelievers, Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) would say, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! May my parents be sacrificed for you, do not raise your head, lest any arrow of the disbelievers strike you. My chest is in front of your chest (i.e., Abu Talhah had put his chest forward so that if any arrow came, it would hit him)." Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I saw Umm al-Mu'mineen Aisha bint Abi Bakr and Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with them), both of them had lifted their clothes (as one does while working), and I could see the anklets on their shins. Both of them would bring water skins on their backs, then give water to the people, then go back, fill them, bring them again, and give water to the people." And from the hand of Sayyiduna Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him), the sword fell two or three times due to drowsiness.
