Hadith 1118
`Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that` the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade coming to one's house at night with the intention of catching the household in theft or betrayal, or to look for their faults (because this involves suspicion, which is prohibited in Shariah; secondly, it causes distress to the woman and leads to many other harms; thirdly, God forbid, if something happens, there is fear for one's own life).
