Hadith 1108
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) held a race between the trained horses from Hafya to Thaniyyatul Wada‘ (the distance between these two places is five or six miles, and some have said six or seven miles), and set the race for untrained horses from Thaniyya to the mosque of Banu Zuraiq. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) was among those who competed in horse riding.
