Hadith 1103
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say, "Soon, several lands will be conquered at your hands, and Allah Almighty will suffice for you. Then, none of you should abandon the practice of archery (that is, learning marksmanship: with pistols, Kalashnikovs, rockets, missiles, etc.)."

Hadith 1104
‘It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Shumasah that Faqim Lakhmi said to Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him): “In this old age, you go to and from these two targets; it must be difficult for you.” Sayyiduna Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “If I had not heard one thing from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I would not have borne this hardship.” Harith said: “I asked Ibn Shumasah, ‘What was that thing?’ He said: ‘The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever learns archery and then abandons it, he is not from us, or he is sinful.’”
