Hadith 1026
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever kills himself with an iron weapon, that weapon will be in his hand and he will keep striking his belly with it in the Fire of Hell forever and ever. And whoever drinks poison and kills himself, he will keep drinking that poison in the Fire of Hell forever and ever. And whoever throws himself down from a mountain and kills himself, he will keep falling down in the Fire of Hell forever and ever, and this will always be his state (that he will fall from a high place to a lower one).

Hadith 1027
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d Sa’idi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the polytheists confronted each other in battle, and they fought. Then, when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) turned towards his army and those people turned towards their army, there was a man among the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) (his name was Qazman and he was among the hypocrites) who would not leave any single disbeliever but would chase him and kill him with his sword (that is, whoever he confronted among the disbelievers, he would kill him). So the companions said that no one has benefited us today as much as this man has. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “He is of the people of Hell.” One of us said, “I will stay with him (and keep watch over him to see what deed he does that leads him to Hell, because outwardly he is doing very excellent deeds).” Then that person went out with him, and wherever he stopped, this person also stopped, and wherever he ran, this person also ran with him. Eventually, that man (i.e., Qazman) was severely wounded and (unable to bear the pain of his wounds) wanted to die quickly, so he placed the hilt of his sword on the ground and its point between his two breasts, then pressed down on it and killed himself. Then the person (who had gone with him) came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, “I bear witness that you are the Messenger of Allah.” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “What happened?” The man said, “The person whom you just declared to be of the people of Hell and the people were surprised at it, I said I would keep watch over him for you. Then I went out in search of him, he was severely wounded, and to die quickly he placed the hilt of his sword on the ground and its point between his two breasts, then pressed down on it until he killed himself.” Upon hearing this, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “A man may do the deeds of the people of Paradise in the eyes of the people, but he is of the people of Hell, and a man may do the deeds of the people of Hell in the eyes of the people, but he (in the end) is of the people of Paradise.”
