Hadith 961
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that he demanded his debt from Ibn Abi Hadrad in the mosque during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), so their voices became loud, until the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) heard them while he was in his house. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) lifted the curtain of his room, came out to them, and called out, "O Ka'b bin Malik!" He replied, "O Messenger of Allah! I am present." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gestured with his hand and said, "Forgive half of the debt." So Sayyiduna Ka'b said, "O Messenger of Allah! I have forgiven it." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Ibn Abi Hadrad, "Get up and pay his debt."
