Hadith 944
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: When two people engage in a transaction, each of them has the option (to cancel the deal) before they separate, as long as they remain in the same place. Or until one gives the other the option (to confirm and complete the transaction). Now, if one gives the other the option (and says that he may finalize the sale), and then both agree upon it, the sale becomes binding. And if both separate after the sale and neither of them cancels it, then the sale also becomes binding.
