Hadith 915
Narrated Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade selling fruits before they ripen (that is, until they are safe from calamity, etc.), or he said: We were forbidden to sell fruits until they are safe (from calamity, etc.).
Hadith 916
Abu Al-Bakhtari (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I asked Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) about the sale of date palm trees (that is, selling their fruits), so he said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade the sale of dates until they become fit to be eaten, fed, or stored after being cut. (The narrator says) I asked, "What is meant by 'yuzan'?" So a person sitting with him said, "It means when they become fit to be cut and stored."
