Hadith 802
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A widow should not be married until her permission is sought, nor should a virgin be married until her permission is sought. The people asked, "O Messenger of Allah! How is the permission of a virgin taken?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Her permission is her silence.
Hadith 803
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A widow has more right regarding her marriage than her guardian, and a virgin should be asked for permission regarding her marriage. And her permission is her silence.
