Hadith 630
‘Umm al-Mu’minin Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) says that one day the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me and said, “Do you have anything (to eat)?” We said, “There is nothing.” So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Then I am fasting.” Then on another day the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us, so I said, “O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! We have received hais as a gift.” So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Show it to me, and I was fasting since morning.” Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate.
