Hadith 589
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! I am ruined." The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked, "What has ruined you?" He replied, "I had intercourse with my wife during Ramadan." The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked, "Can you free a slave (male or female)?" He said, "No." The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked, "Can you fast for two consecutive months?" He said, "No." The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked, "Can you feed sixty poor people?" He said, "No." (Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, says) Then he sat down until a basket of dates was brought to the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Take this and give it as charity to the poor." He said, "Is there anyone poorer than me between the two black rocky plains of Madinah? In fact, there is no household in this area more in need than mine." The Prophet (peace be upon him) laughed (may my parents be sacrificed for you, may I circle around you) until his blessed teeth became visible. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Take it and feed it to your family."

Hadith 590
Narrated from Umm al-Mu'mineen Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her): She said that a man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "I am ruined." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Why?" He said, "I had intercourse with my wife during the day in Ramadan." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Give charity, give charity." He said, "I do not have anything." Meanwhile, two baskets (of grain or dates) were brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so he said, "Take these and give them as charity."
