Hadith 553
‘Sayyiduna Umair, who was the freed slave of Sayyiduna Abi Al-Lahm (may Allah be pleased with him), says: My master (Abi Al-Lahm) ordered me to dry some meat. A poor man came, so I gave him an amount suitable for eating. When my master found out, he beat me. I went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and informed him (Glory be to Allah, you were a refuge for orphans, widows, and the oppressed). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called him and asked: Why did you beat him? He replied: He gives away my food without my permission. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Both of you will have the reward for this charity.

Hadith 554
´Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that` the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No woman should observe (optional) fast while her husband is present at home except with his permission, and she should not allow anyone (of her mahram relatives) to enter his house while he is present except with his permission (and when he is not present, then all the more she should not allow anyone to enter except according to his prior instructions and consent). And whatever she spends from his earnings without his permission, then in that (reward) her husband has half the reward (i.e., the man gets the reward for earning and the woman for giving).
