Mukhtasar Muslim

Sayyiduna Haritha bin Wahb رضي الله عنه narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم saying: "Give charity. A time is near when a person will go out with his charity, and the one to whom he offers it will say, 'If you had brought it yesterday, I would have accepted it, but today I am not in need of it.' Thus, no one will be found to accept it."

Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Near the Day of Judgment, the earth will throw out its treasures like great pillars of gold and silver. Then the murderer will come and say, "It was for this that I committed murder." And the one who broke ties of kinship will come and say, "It was for this that I severed my family relations." And the thief will come and say, "It was for this that my hand was cut off." Then all of them will leave it and none will take anything from it.
