`Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that` I went with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in a battle, and my camel delayed and became tired, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) arrived before me, and I reached the mosque the next day and found him at the door of the mosque. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Have you just arrived?" I said, "Yes." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Leave your camel and go into the mosque and perform two rak‘ahs." Then I went and performed two rak‘ahs and came back.
