Hadith 432
Umm al-Mu’minin Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting with me and two (young) girls were with me singing songs about the Battle of Bu’ath. The Prophet (peace be upon him) lay down on the bedding and turned his face away from them. Then Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) came and scolded me, saying, “The music of Satan in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)?” The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) looked towards him and said, “Leave them (let them sing).” Then when they became inattentive, I signaled to them and they left. It was the day of Eid and the Sudanese (Abyssinians) were playing with shields and spears. I do not remember whether I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) or he himself said, “Do you want to watch?” I said, “Yes.” Then he made me stand behind him and my cheek was against his cheek, and he was saying, “O children of Arfada! Keep playing.” Until I became tired, then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, “Is that enough?” I said, “Yes.” He said, “Alright, go.”
