Mukhtasar Muslim

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went out on Eid al-Adha or Eid al-Fitr and performed two rak‘ahs, neither performing any prayer before it nor after it. Then he went to the women, and Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) was with him. Then he instructed the women to give charity, so some of them began to take off their rings and some their necklaces of cloves that were around their necks.
