Hadith 410
Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him):
When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon, his eyes would become red, his voice would rise, and his anger would increase, as if he were warning of an approaching army, saying, "The enemy is coming in the morning or in the evening." And he would say: "I and the Hour have been sent like these two," and he would join his index and middle fingers together. After praising and glorifying Allah, he would say: "Know that the best speech is the Book of Allah, and the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The worst of affairs are newly invented matters, and every innovation in worship is misguidance." Then he would say: "I am closer to every believer than his own self. So if a believer dies and leaves behind wealth, it is for his family. But if he leaves behind debt or children, their care is my responsibility and their expenses are upon me."
