Hadith 366
‘Abdullah bin Harith bin Nawfal says that I used to desire and inquire that someone would tell me whether the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the Duha (forenoon) prayer, but I did not find anyone who could narrate this to me except Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her). Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her), who is the daughter of Abu Talib, informed me that on the day of the conquest of Makkah, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came in the forenoon. A cloth curtain was put up for him, so he performed ghusl (ritual bath). Then he stood and performed eight rak‘ahs of prayer. I do not know whether his standing was long, or his bowing or prostration, (approximately) all were equal. And I did not see the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performing the Duha prayer before or after this.
