Mukhtasar Muslim

Umm al-Mu'mineen Aisha Siddiqa and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that when the time of the Messenger of Allah's (peace and blessings be upon him) death approached, he began to cover his face with a striped cloak. When he would feel uneasy, he would remove the cloak from his face. In that state, he said: "May Allah's curse be upon the Jews and Christians who took the graves of their prophets as places of worship." He (peace and blessings be upon him) was warning that his own people should not do the same.
