Hadith 252
Narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever eats onions or garlic should keep away from us, or he said: should keep away from our mosque and sit in his house. Once, a pot containing vegetables was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he found a bad smell in it, so he asked: What has been put in it? When it was made known to him, he said: Take it to such-and-such companion. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw that he also disliked eating it (because the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, did not eat it), the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: You eat it, for I converse with one whom you do not converse with (i.e., the angels).
