Hadith 221
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) came on the day of the Battle of Khandaq and began to speak ill of the disbelievers of Quraysh and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! By Allah, I was not able to perform the Asr prayer until the sun was about to set." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "By Allah, I too have not performed it." Then we went towards a stony ground, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed ablution and we all performed ablution, and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed the Asr prayer after sunset, and then after that he performed the Maghrib prayer.
