Hadith 168
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that he met the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, on one of the roads of Madinah while he was in a state of major ritual impurity (junub), so he slipped away and went to perform ghusl (ritual bath). The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, noticed his absence, and when he returned, he asked, "Where were you?" He replied, "O Messenger of Allah! When you met me, I was in a state of major impurity, and I disliked sitting with you without having performed ghusl." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Subhan Allah! Does a believer ever become impure?"
