Hadith 167
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umair, the freed slave of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), that: I and Abdur Rahman bin Yasar, who was the freed slave of Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), went to Abu Juham bin Harith. Abu Juham said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came from the direction of Bi’r Jamal (a place near Madinah). On the way, a man met him and greeted him with Salam. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not reply to him until he came to a wall, wiped his face and both hands, and then replied to the Salam.
