Hadith 110
Wasih bin Haban says: I was praying in the mosque and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) was sitting with his back towards the Qiblah. When I finished the prayer, I turned towards him from one side. Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: People say that when you sit to relieve yourself, do not face the Qiblah or Bayt al-Maqdis. (Once) I climbed onto the roof and saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sitting for relieving himself facing Bayt al-Maqdis on two bricks (i.e., when facing Bayt al-Maqdis, his back would be towards the Qiblah).
