Hadith 103
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty will say, "O Adam!" He will reply, "Here I am at Your service and in Your obedience, and all goodness is in Your hand." It will be commanded, "Bring forth the group for Hell." He will ask, "O Lord, what is the group for Hell?" It will be commanded, "From every thousand people, take out nine hundred and ninety-nine for Hell (and one person out of a thousand will go to Paradise)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is the time when a child will become old (due to terror and fear or due to the length of that day), and every pregnant woman will miscarry, and you will see people as if they are intoxicated, but they will not be intoxicated, rather the punishment of Allah is severe." (Al-Hajj: 2) The Companions became very distressed upon hearing this and said, "O Messenger of Allah! See, out of a thousand, who among us will be that one person (who will go to Paradise)?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Be happy, for the disbelievers of Gog and Magog are so numerous that if you count them, for every one of you, there will be a thousand of them." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By Him in Whose hand is my soul, I hope that a quarter of the people of Paradise will be from you." Upon this, we praised Allah and said takbeer. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By Him in Whose hand is my soul, I hope that a third of the people of Paradise will be from you." Upon this, we praised Allah and proclaimed His greatness. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By Him in Whose hand is my soul, I hope that half of the people of Paradise will be from you. Your example among the nations is like a white hair on the skin of a black ox, or like a mark on the leg of a donkey."
