Encouragement to make a will for those with something to bequeath.
Hadith 981

Salim narrates from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "It is not befitting for a Muslim who has something to bequeath, that he should spend three nights without having his will written with him." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said: "Since I heard this hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), not a single night has passed for me without my will being with me."
