`Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that` when someone says to his wife, "You are forbidden to me," then this is an oath, and expiation is necessary for it. And Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that indeed, for you in the way of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is the best example.
