Umm al-Mu'mineen Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married me in the month of Shawwal and my wedding was also in the month of Shawwal, and which woman was dearer to the Messenger of Allah than me? And Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) liked that the women of her tribe should also have their weddings in the month of Shawwal.
