Hadith 81

‘Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was taken on the Mi’raj (Ascension), he was taken up to the Sidrat al-Muntaha, and it is in the sixth heaven. Whatever ascends from the earth stops there, then it is taken up. And whatever descends from above also stops there, then it is taken down. Allah the Exalted said: “When there covered the lote tree that which covered it” (An-Najm: 16). ‘Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: That is, golden moths. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was given three things there: first, five prayers; second, the last verses of Surah Al-Baqarah; and third, Allah the Exalted forgave from your Ummah anyone who does not associate partners with Allah (all other destructive sins are forgiven except for shirk).
