Mukhtasar Muslim

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid bin Asim (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him) declared Makkah as a sanctuary (i.e., he made its sanctity apparent, otherwise its sanctity was from the day the heavens and the earth were created) and prayed for its people, and I declare Madinah as a sanctuary just as Ibrahim (peace be upon him) declared Makkah as a sanctuary, and I have prayed for the sa’ and mudd of Madinah, double what Ibrahim (peace be upon him) prayed for the people of Makkah.
