It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to rest at the end of the night in the valley of Dhul-Hulaifah, in the bottom of the valley. Then the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) companion (an angel) came and it was said to him that he (peace and blessings be upon him) was in the blessed plain (Bathaa’). Musa, the narrator, says that Salim made our mount sit at the place where Sayyiduna Abdullah Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to make his mount sit, and he used to search for the place where the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) spent the night. That place is below the mosque which is built in the lower part of the valley, and the place is between the mosque and the qiblah.
