Hadith 733

`Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) says that` the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) offered the Zuhr prayer at Dhu’l-Hulayfah. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) had his she-camel brought, and he performed Ish’ar on its right hump (i.e., made an incision with a spear or the like to let blood flow, as a sign of a sacrificial animal). Then he wiped that blood with his hand and hung two sandals around the neck of the she-camel. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mounted his ride. When it stood upright in the open field, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited the Talbiyah for Hajj. (Talbiyah refers to saying “Labbayk Allahumma Labbayk.”)
