Mukhtasar Muslim

`Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that` the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had two muezzins. One was Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) and the other was Sayyiduna Ibn Umm Maktum (may Allah be pleased with him), who was blind. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that Bilal gives the call to prayer at night, so keep eating and drinking until Ibn Umm Maktum gives the call to prayer. The narrator said that there was not much time between the two calls to prayer, only as much as it took for one to descend and the other to ascend.
