Hadith 56

Sayyiduna Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in the morning prayer at Hudaybiyyah (which is a place near Makkah), and it had rained during the night. When he finished the prayer, he turned towards the people and said, "Do you know what your Lord has said?" They replied, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Allah Almighty has said: 'Some of My servants have entered the morning as believers in Me and some as disbelievers. So, whoever said that the rain has fallen by the grace and mercy of Allah, he has disbelieved in the stars and believed in Me. And whoever said that the rain has fallen due to the movement of such-and-such star, he has disbelieved in Me and believed in the stars.'"
