Mukhtasar Muslim

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: The person who has even a mustard seed's weight of arrogance and pride in his heart will not enter Paradise. A man said: Every person likes that his clothes are good and his shoes are good (is this also arrogance and pride?). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty is beautiful and loves beauty. Arrogance and pride is that a person denies the truth (i.e., due to stubbornness or ego, if something is right and correct, he rejects and does not accept it) and considers people inferior.
