Hadith 406

Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When it is the day of Jumu’ah, at every door of the mosque there are angels who write down (the names of) those who come, the first one who comes, then the one after him, then the one after him. Then when the Imam sits on the pulpit, the angels close their registers and come to listen to the sermon. And the example of the reward for the one who comes at the earliest time is like one who offers a camel in sacrifice. The one who comes after him is like one who offers a cow in sacrifice. The one who comes after him is like one who offers a ram in sacrifice. The one who comes after him is like one who offers a chicken in sacrifice. The one who comes after him is like one who offers an egg in the way of Allah.
