‘Umm al-Mu’minin Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: There is no Muslim servant who prays twelve rak‘ahs of Sunnah prayers for the sake of Allah every day, apart from the obligatory prayers, except that Allah builds a house for him in Paradise, or he said: a house is built for him in Paradise. Umm al-Mu’minin Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Since that day, I have always performed them. And ‘Amr (meaning Ibn Aws) said: I have also always performed them since that day. And Nu‘man (meaning Ibn Salim) said the same. And in one narration it is: “Twelve rak‘ahs in one day and night.”
