Mukhtasar Muslim

Simak bin Harb says that I asked Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him), "Did you used to sit with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?" He said, "Yes, very much." Then he said that it was the blessed habit of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he would remain seated in his place of prayer after the morning prayer until the sun rose. Then, when the sun rose, he would stand up. And the people used to talk about the days of ignorance and laugh, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would smile.
