Mukhtasar Muslim

´Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that` the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to teach us the Tashahhud just as he used to teach us the Surahs of the Noble Qur'an, and he (peace be upon him) used to say: "All verbal acts of worship that are blessed, and all physical acts of worship, and all financial acts of worship, all of them are for Allah. O Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon you), peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is His servant and His Messenger." And in the narration of Ibn Rumh, it is mentioned that he (peace be upon him) used to teach (the Tashahhud) just as he used to teach the Qur'an.
