‘Umm al-Mu’minin Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her)’ (when it was mentioned before her that the prayer is broken if a dog, donkey, or woman passes in front of the one praying) she said: You have made us equal to donkeys and dogs. By Allah, I have seen the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) praying while I was lying on the bed in front of him, facing the qiblah. When I needed something, I disliked sitting up in front of him and causing him discomfort, so I would quietly slip away from the foot of the bed.
