Hadith 2152

Sayyiduna Qais bin ‘Abad says: I heard Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) swear (regarding this verse of Surah Al-Hajj) that: “Indeed, these two groups are enemies to each other, who dispute about their Lord.” Surely, this was revealed concerning those people who came out from the ranks to fight on the day of Badr from the side of the Muslims: the chief of martyrs Sayyiduna Hamzah, Sayyiduna ‘Ali al-Murtada, and ‘Ubaidah bin Harith (may Allah be pleased with them), and from the side of the disbelievers: ‘Utbah and Shaybah, both sons of Rabi‘ah, and Walid bin ‘Utbah.
