Mukhtasar Muslim

`Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that` the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood among us to deliver a sermon and said: O people! You will be gathered before Allah barefoot, uncircumcised, and naked, “just as We began the first creation, We shall repeat it.” This is Our promise, and surely We shall fulfill it. (104) Beware! Among all creation, Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him) will be the first to be clothed on the Day of Resurrection. And beware! Some people from my Ummah will be brought, then they will be turned towards the left (the side of the disbelievers). I will say: O my Lord! These are my followers. It will be said in reply: You do not know what innovations they introduced after you. Then I will say what the righteous servant (Isa, peace be upon him) said: “I was a witness over them while I remained among them. But when You took me up, You were the Watcher over them (and I had no knowledge of them), and You are Witness over all things (meaning Your knowledge encompasses everything). If You punish them, they are Your servants, and if You forgive them, surely You are the Mighty, the Wise.” (Al-Ma’idah: 117-118) Then it will be said to me: After you departed, these people turned back (i.e., they apostatized from the religion).
