Umm al-Mu'mineen Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The expert with the Qur'an (this may refer to a Hafiz who also acts upon it) is with the noble angels who write near the Preserved Tablet, and the one who recites the Qur'an and stumbles in it, and it is difficult for him, for him there is a double reward.
