Mukhtasar Muslim

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Allah Almighty says: I am more free from need of partners than anyone else with regard to shirk (associating partners with Me). Whoever does any deed in which he associates someone else with Me, I abandon him and his act of associating partners. (That is, any worship or deed done for show or fame is not accepted by Allah, it is rejected. Allah only accepts that worship and deed which is done purely for His sake, with no share in it for anyone else.)
