Mukhtasar Muslim

Musa bin Ali narrates from his father that Mustawrid Qurashi (may Allah be pleased with him) said in the presence of Sayyiduna Amr bin Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The Hour will be established when the Christians will be the majority among the people (i.e., more than Hindus and Muslims)." Sayyiduna Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "See what you are saying!" Mustawrid (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I am only saying what I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." Sayyiduna Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "If you say so (then it is true), it is because the Christians have four qualities: they are most patient in times of calamity, after calamity they are the quickest to recover, after fleeing they are the first to attack again, and among all people they are the best towards the poor, orphans, and the weak. And there is a fifth quality which is very excellent: they are the most effective in restraining the oppression of kings."
