Hadith 1997

Narrated from Sayyiduna Salim bin Abdullah bin Umar, he used to say: O people of Iraq! I do not ask you about minor sins, nor do I ask about one who commits major sins. I heard my father, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The trial will come from here," and he (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed with his hand towards the east, where the two horns of Satan appear. And you strike each other's necks (even though killing a believer is such a great sin), and Musa (peace be upon him) accidentally killed a man from the people of Pharaoh (not with the intention of killing, because a man does not die from a punch), so Allah the Exalted said about it: "You committed a killing, then We saved you from grief and tried you with a trial." (Surah Ta-Ha: 40)
