Mukhtasar Muslim

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, a person from among the people of Hell who was the most prosperous and happiest in the world will be brought, then he will be dipped once in Hell, then it will be asked of him: O son of Adam! Did you ever experience comfort in the world? Did you ever have any ease? He will say: By Allah, O my Lord! Never. And a person from among the people of Paradise who suffered the most severe hardships in the world will be brought, he will be dipped once in Paradise, then it will be asked of him: O son of Adam! Did you ever experience any hardship? Did you ever go through any severity or distress? He will say: By Allah! I never experienced any hardship, nor did I ever see any severity or difficulty.
