Hadith 1980

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Paradise and Hell argued with each other. Hell said, "In me will enter those who are arrogant and powerful." Paradise said, "What is the matter with me that only those people will enter me who are weak among the people, and (in terms of the world) are lowly and humble (that is, mostly such people will be in me)." Then Allah Almighty said to Paradise, "You are My mercy; I will show mercy with you to whomever I wish among My servants." And He said to Hell, "You are My punishment; I will punish with you whomever I wish among My servants. And both of you will be filled." Thus, Hell will not be filled (nor satisfied) until Allah Almighty places His foot in it. It will say, "Enough, enough," then it will be filled, and its parts will draw close to each other. Thus, Allah Almighty will not wrong anyone among His creation, and He will create another creation for Paradise.
